12-15-12 Portland Head Lighthouse, Portland, Maine I just returned today from my business trip to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I ended up having most of the day free on Friday so I headed up to Maine and visited this lighthouse at dawn. Lucky for me that sunrise is late since I hadn't totally switched to eastern time. I'm tired today since yesterday/this morning I was up for 22 hours straight. I also want to thank Mulu and Mike for getting up early to travel with me. I have been processing some of my photos. This was an HDR processed in Photomatix Pro, converted to Black and White in Silver Effex Pro 2, and texture and frame came from Photoframe.

12-21-12 Another Portland Head Lighthouse Shot - thanks for all the wonderful support and comments for my photos of late. Recently there have been just some incredible images. 10-4-12 Coquille Lighthouse in Bandon, Oregon. I have been processing all different views and treatments of the lighthouse. I am definitely enjoying the variety. This is a single long exposure taken with a 54 sec shutter speed when there was a boring sky. I used Topaz Labs Simplify using a Buz Slim filter and then finished the processing using Topaz Black and White and modified a Black Rose Dynamic preset. I finished it off using a frame in Photoframe.

10-5-12 Another Coquille Lighthouse image - taken in Bandon, Oregon. I was lucky enough to have a friend point out the location of this stump that nicely framed the lighthouse. Combined two images in Photoshop with different focus points and converted using Topaz Black and White. I then added the texture.

5-10-13 This is a 204 sec exposure of the Cape Blanco lighthouse taken on a very windy day in Oregon. I sat at a picnic table shielded by the gift store to shelter me and the camera from the 35 mph winds.
