7-16-13 Hummingbird taken in my Seattle yard. Who says you can't get delicious Bokeh from a small sensor camera like the Nikon 1 V1? Try it with the afs adapter and 70-300 VR lens for an equivalent focal length of 810mm. Sweet!!

2-16-13 Another Wood Duck - I took this yesterday at the local park. Again I shot this with my Nikon 1 V1.

2-15-13 The Wood Duck in Golden Light - I visited our local park with my Nikon 1V1 and my Nkon 70-300vr lens. I shot a number of images of ducks while walking my two mini wire hair dachshunds. I struggled a little with zooming and balancing one handed but my handheld success rate at 400-810 with VR in fading light was about 75%.

11-17-12 Soaring Pelican - I took this shot a few weeks ago when I was in a town called Tokeland on the Willapa Bay, Washington. This is a very well known birding area but I did not see any rarities.
