1-28-13 Pig and a Bottle - this pig statue was in a local restaurant. I applied a plaster texture to the image which was created with Filter Forge.
8-9 Avalanche Lily - I used the rented Nikon 200 F4 micro with my Nikon D800E to make this image. In PP I then textured it using a wonderful texture from Flypaper Textures Summer Painterly collection.
7-19-12 Antiqued Abandon House - I think this most likely will be the last in the series of the abandoned house. I converted this in Silver Effex 2 and added a little bit of texture to help emulate the aged look of the image. Thanks for all the comments on the close up and detailed version that I posted yesterday. It continues to be fun to share this mini series.
Short-eared Owl
Boundary Bay
British Columbia

The Snowy Owl irruption influenced a lot of birders and photographers to visit Boundary Bay. I made three separate visits to photograph the birds. There was a lot of controversy around how many photographers got off the trail to photograph. I never stepped foot off the trail. Many people were focused on the snowies and neglected enjoying the more usual species found there. I was happy to capture this image of a short owl. I enhanced this image by texturizing the background which was out of focus fencing.
