8-6 Early Morning on the Bainbridge Ferry - My friend Doug and I met at 5:30am so we could hop the ferry and head out to the Olympic Peninsula to photograph wildflowers. I rented the Nikon 200 F4 micro for the occasion so was putting it to good use on the ferry. We had more luck on the ferry with the light. Unfortunately we chose the warmest, sunniest day of the year to head up to Hurricane Ridge. We found lots of wildflowers but the lighting for the most part was harsh and a little windy. We made the best of it. ANother challenge was that our car was swarmed by a bunch of flies and bees when we were at the higher altitude so that we really did not want to get out. We enjoyed each other's company and did some scouting and got a few interesting images.
View From Downtown Seattle - 6/7/12 - This was taken from the eighth floor patio of the office building that I work in. Looking towards the Seatte waterfront and the ferry. In the distance you can see the tops of the Olympic Mountains.
Mannequins I found these displayed in a window in downtown Seattle near the Pike Place Market. I used several different filters in Color Effex Pro such as Beach Bypass and Sepia toning. I love how surreal they look. This is a very different type of image for me. Interested in what others think.
